NEW FOR 2014 – YEARLING ROUND-UP FUTURITY

As a follow up to the first annual Weanling Free-For-All Futurity held in conjunction with the Color Extravaganza in Bushnell, Florida in November, 2013, we are having our first annual Yearling Round Up Futurity.  The intention of these events is to provide breeders and owners of these young horses an inexpensive and enjoyable competition to showcase their foals and yearlings.

Here’s how it works:

  • All yearlings are eligible – there is no additional entry fee
  • There are four Yearling Round Up Classes:

Halter

Lunge Line

Hunter In Hand

In Hand Trail

  • Each yearling may participate in any number of Yearling Round Up Events
  • The overall placings for the Yearling Round Up Futurity will be calculated as follows:

A yearlings top three placings from the four events will be included in the calculations

Points will be awarded based upon the number of entries in the class, with a maximum for first of 6 points.  Therefore if there are 3 horses in the class, first place will receive 3 points, and if there are 10 horses in the class, first place will receive 6 points.

  • Awards will be presented

We are looking for sponsors so that we can award some great prizes at this years’ Yearling Round Up, so please let us know if you would like to get involved in supporting this initiative by contacting sue@charolotranch.com
